I was just recently talking about the literary and cinematic "trio infernal" Françoise Mallet-Joris/Nicole Courcel/Anicée Alvina - in re: Le Rempart Des Béguines/The Illusionist...
(Either scroll down or check the archives for it!)
And the fact that the magnificent Nicole Courcel (the only Cinematic Nicole that matters - give it up, Kidman!) is sort of an author in her own right - thanks to her daughter, Julie Andrieu - simply burst onto my computer screen...!

How fitting is that; hmm?

Hurray for algorithms!

Aye - this is the daughter who is the exact same age as Anicée Alvina...

Mme. Nicole Courcel only has ONE daughter...

Mme. Nicole Courcel was acting out the lesbian romps penned by Mallet-Joris with the nubile Anicée Alvina as her very conseenting partner - while Julie, who could have been Anicée's schoolmate, sat at home, unaware of what her mother was doing...!

Those are the oddities of the Cinéma...!

Julie Andrieu was, in all likelihood, at home - IN THE KITCHEN - while her mother made believe she was a pedophilistic lesbian; extremely convincingly, I might add...

And, now, as the title of her book implies, Julie is teaching how to cook to her mother!

Never too late, eh...

Mom was too busy swapping spit with a girl to learn any of that, back in 1972, I guess...

Julie Andrieu doesn't look 53.

Neither did the late Anicée Alvina, when she died...

I could also hazard a guess about the name...

Julie was picked - since Nicole Courcel's husband's name was Andrieu - because the end result evoked immediately the famed Brit Julie Andrews, who made a splash across the Big Pond a good 10 years before Le Rempart... (the film) caused such a scandal...

Maybe it was Mme. Nicole Courcel's dream to see her daughter... ah... follow in her footsteps...?!?

Maybe the choice of name also delineates undeniable admiration for Miss Andrews...

Lest it was... a crush?
